Nicklas Svartengren

Konstnärlig fotograf född och uppväxt i Stockholm.
Huvudspåret är porträtt fotografi och stilen är svart-vitt med drag av film-noir och chiaroscuro. Målet är att bygga scener från gränslandet mellan verklighet och fiction, nåstans i tiden mellan nu och då.
Utöver det huvudsakliga arbetet som porträttfotograf så finns en djup kärlek till konsert-/artist porträttering och till att hitta en bit talande historia i urbana miljöer.

Photographer and artist. Born and raised in Stockholm.

Main track is black and white noirish portrait photography. The drive is to build scenes and stories from the borderland between reality and fiction, flashes placed in a time between now and back when. Inspiration comes from an affinity for the cinematic and chiaroscuro.

In addition to my main work I have a deep love for concert photography as in artist portraiture and for capturing the telltales of the urban city.
